New Video Series Features Homemade Protein Shakes

I have been on a kick to get more healthy.  Yes, I am trying to exercise, but I feel the biggest way I can improve my health is to change my diet.  I am looking to get more protein, greens and fruits into my diet.  I have looked at the research and it is clear that a diet high in veggies and plant protein is more healthy.

Homemade Protein Shakes That Don’t Suck?

So how do you get more veggies and protein into your diet?  One popular idea is to have a Green Smoothie or some type of homemade protein shakes.  The only problem is – every time I try to make a green smoothie protein shake it tastes terrible.

I turned to Google in my quest to find a green smoothie that was packed with nutrients and still tasted okay.  After a few hours of searching I stumbled upto this homemade protein shake recipe

Perfect Plant Protein?

I was intrigued by this recipe as I love Pina Coladas and the idea of a green Pina Colada sounded perfect.  I ordered the Perfect Plant Protein the recommend and I have to say the protein shake was terrific.  No, not as sweet as a Pina Colada, but still very enjoyable and about 1,000 times more healthy.

I have emailed them and asked for some more homemade protein shakes, I’ll let you know when I hear back!

What Are The Health Benefits of Baobab Fruit Powder?

I consider myself pretty knowledgable when it comes to health food.  I knew about Acai a year before the rest of the world starting falling in love with it.  Goji and pomegranate…yep, was eating these superfruits for the last 5 years.  So, how is it that I completely missed out on the amazing Baobab Fruit?

What is The Baobab Fruit?

The Baobab fruit is a rather odd fruit.  It looks sort of like a mango, but it has a hard shell, more like a coconut. Once you cut the Baobab fruit open, you immediately notice that the pulp is dry.  That’s right, the Baobab fruit pulp is dry, sort of like the flesh of a very ripe coconut.

This is an important point, because it means that creating a Baobab fruit powder is very easy.  All you do is remove the seeds and crush up the Baobab fruit pulp.  No heat, no drying – nothing to kill the amazing nutrients in the Baobab fruit.

Great, But What Are The Health Benefits of Baobab Fruit?

The Baobab fruit is absolutely packed with nutrients.  More antioxidants than Acai, Goji or Blueberries.  More calcium than milk.  More potassium than bananas.  Simply put, the Baobab fruit is a true superfruit.  The health benefits of baobab fruit powder are discussed in this special report.

How Do You Get Baobab Fruit?

The only real way to get Baobab fruit in the US is in powder or supplement form.  We have tried the Organic Baobab Fruit powder and it is fantastic.  It tastes sort of like lemonade and is packed with health benefits.

Baobab fruit is becoming a part of my every day routine and I feel great!

What is Spirulina?

Spirulina is a single-celled, blue-green microalgae that is often called a super food because of its vast nutrient profile. Spirulina most commonly grows in warm lakes such as Lake Chad in Africa. However, it is found in many environments such as soils, sands, alkaline lakes, brackish water, seawater and freshwater. Spirulina can also be cultivated by artificial farming methods.

Pure Spirulina provides vitamins, minerals, essential amino acids, carbohydrates and enzymes. Spirulina is a highly digestible food made of at least 60% vegetable protein. It is higher in protein than any other food. Its nutritional profile also includes the essential fatty acids, GLA fatty acid, lipids, B complex, vitamin C and E and phytochemicals, such as carotenoids, chlorophyll, and phycocyanin. Phycocyanin is a protein that is known to inhibit cancer. The carotenoids and chlorophyll may also contribute to Spirulina’s anticancer effects.

Spirulina is very useful for those with a compromised immune system. It stimulates immune system cells that help fight infection. Spirulina may increase the growth of good bacteria in the intestines which prevents infection. It may also be helpful in removing toxic metals from the body. Spirulina has been used for the treatment of intestinal difficulties, arthritis, gout, malnutrition, allergies, anemia, high cholesterol, internal inflammations, cancer, radiation poisoning, diabetes, liver disease, kidney damage and hypoglycemia.
